Numerous studies, including the 2006 United States Early Childhood Longitudinal Study conducted by the United States Department of Education, have indicated that children who attend high quality preschools display better language, cognitive and social skills.

Experienced and Caring Teachers
The backbone of any quality childhood program is its teachers. All of our group leaders meet the requirements established by the Colorado Department of Human Services and have extensive teaching and college experience.
All of our teachers are registered and qualified in Early Childhood Education. They also have completed infant/child CPR as well as first aid certification training. Following employment, our teachers also participate in an extensive eight-week training program with an experienced mentor.

Safe and Secure Environment
The safety and protection of your child is our number one priority at Highlands Ranch Learning Center
Our teachers are thoroughly screened prior to employment through our comprehensive hiring process which includes reference checks and a background check through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and Central Registry.
Our playgrounds have been designed to emphasize age-appropriate safe play. Our programs include safety and health education and children practice safety procedures on a regular basis.
Finally, to add to your peace of mind, our security cameras and secured entry access system at our front door monitors traffic in and out of our center, along with our coded check-in system.
Programs Offered
Infant Program (Ages 8 weeks to 1 year)
Highlands Ranch Learning Center offers an Infant Program designed to ensure love, comfort and stimulation for your baby. All of our staff are specially trained in infant development and care. Our goal is to create an environment where the infants in our care and our teachers develop a strong emotional bond with one another.
Toddlers (Ages 1 year to 2 ‡ years)
Toddlers begin their road to success as they are introduced to our exclusive toddler curriculum, BEE Your Best for our one year olds. Verbal communication and interaction are encouraged in an environment rich in opportunities for social exploration and language development. Your toddler will enjoy learning through stories, music, nursery rhymes, sensory and art activities, sign language and games with experienced and loving teachers guiding the way.
Junior preschool (Ages 2 to 3 years)
Our BEE Your Best Curriculum continues to engage toddlers in the junior preschool program. Your junior preschooler will learn early preschool concepts and skills such as colors, shapes and numbers. Your child will also discover possibilities in art, sensory, music, literature, rhymes, finger plays, language and listening, dramatic play and large motor games. We encourage developing social skills through interactive play.
Preschool (Ages 3 to 4 years)
Your preschooler will thrive from our extensive hands-on learning using the Core Knowledge Curriculum ñ Level I that includes movement and coordination, work habits, mathematical reasoning, orientation in space and time, language, scientific reasoning, music and art, as well as autonomy and social skills.
Social skills are refined through character education using the literature-based Core Virtues program. Enrichment activities include creative art, music, imaginative play, cooking and outdoor time.
Pre-Kindergarten (Ages 4 to 5 years)
Preparation for kindergarten is our goal in this comprehensive program. Our teachers use the Core Knowledge Curriculum ñ Level II, building skills in movement and coordination, work habits, mathematical reasoning, orientation in space and time, language, scientific reasoning, music and art, as well as autonomy and social skills.
Your childís social skills are reinforced through the literature-based Core Virtues education program, as well as weekly theme activities. Enrichment activities include creative art, music, imaginative play, computers, handwriting without tears and outdoor time.
Private Kindergarten
Our private kindergarten program combines high quality, structured education with individual attention in a full day setting. Teachers work with your child to ensure a strong academic foundation for future success.
Our low child-to-teacher ratio enables your child to enjoy a quality kindergarten experience where reading, writing, and math skills are emphasized. Curriculum mirrors and exceeds area school district state standards. Mid-day Core Knowledge enrichment includes activities in maps and geography, scientific reasoning, visual arts and music.
Regular progress reports help you track your kindergartnerís progress as will parent-teacher conferences and scheduled student assessments.
Summer Camp and Onsite Swimming Pool
Our premier summer camp program offers the same exceptional care for your child during the summer but with an emphasis on fun. One of the best experiences of summer for your child will be the opportunity to swim regularly in our beautiful in-ground swimming pool. We offer both free swim times and formal swimming instructions taught by certified lifeguards. Parents receive written report cards indicating their childís progress.
