Exceptional Early Childhood Education
Our Philosophy
At Highlands Ranch Learning Center, our qualified and caring teachers strive to ensure that your child experiences success each day through our nationally recognized Core Knowledge Curriculum, Core Virtues character building program and enrichment activities.
All of our programs are designed to prepare your child for a successful future built on confidence, independence and an awareness of the exciting world that surrounds him or her.
Your child's early years are a magical time. We recognize this and encourage your child's creativity and unique personality at all of our centers. Our experienced and qualified teachers create loving, supportive classroom environments to meet the needs of every child. Activities are adapted to meet the young child's growing curiosity and language development is encouraged in an environment rich with music, books and conversation with the little ones.
As children become more independent, our programs reflect the need for cognitive growth. We incorporate the acclaimed Core Knowledge Curriculum in our Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Private Kindergarten programs which helps to ensure the children's readiness to enter elementary school through advanced lessons in academic skills.
In addition to our regular daily activities, our centers offer unique experiences for the children. Each center features over-sized, custom playgrounds and sports fields. Our outdoor swimming pools, which are closely supervised by on-site lifeguards, are a welcome activity during the summer months. Special classes such as dance, karate, gymnastics, computers and foreign language are also available. We know that our children enjoy days filled with an appropriate balance of play and learning.
Each center is carefully designed to ensure the children's safety and security. From our controlled-access entry system, to our secured child pick-up procedures, we have the children's safety in mind throughout each center. Our on-site cooks prepare homemade, nutritious meals designed to appeal to the tastes of young children.

Nationally-Recognized Curriculum
We incorporate the nationally acclaimed Core Knowledge Curriculum in our Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Private Kindergarten programs which helps to ensure your child's readiness to enter elementary school through advanced lessons in academic skills.
The "Core Knowledge" curriculum is based on the premise that an age by age core of common learning is necessary to ensure a sound academic foundation. It is based on a large body of research in cognitive psychology, as well as hands on activities where children are engaged in active play. Currently, hundreds of schools and thousands of dedicated educators are participating in this school reform movement throughout the United States.
We also join a nationwide call to character education at the preschool level by teaching the Core Virtue program that focuses on literature and integrates common sense values into the curriculum. We are guiding young children to recognize the enormous potential they have as members of society. By emphasizing positive social interactions and involving parents in the education process, we will continue the virtue message of hope and positive development for our children.
